About the Artist

Kimberly Van Zee is a Midwest contemporary visual artist whose work examines the tension between clarity and obscurity. While largely self-taught, she developed a deep connection to oil painting during her college years, where she began to focus on it as her primary medium.

Her inspiration comes from natural movement, blurred memories, ephemeral qualities of water, and emotional ambiguity. She invites viewers into a space where meanings can shift and dissolve in a single moment.
